The Chair Place is a San Francisco based retailer of ergonomic office chairs.
We have been operating in Northern California since 1990. We currently have a retail showroom located in San Francisco, California. We have over one hundred ergonomic, mesh and executive chairs on display for customers to try out. We are experienced in assisting customers in choosing the appropriate chair. Our chairs in the showroom range in price from $200 to $1800.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards. Please call us at 415-278-9640 if you would like to order a chair.

We accept purchase orders from the City and County of San Francisco and State of California government agencies.
Return Policy – Web site only
 The chairs are not returnable. Our manufacturers do not accept returns from us so we can not afford to take returns on items ordered from them.
Most furniture companies offer replacement parts in the case of defects for several years at no cost to you. Manufacturer warranties do not cover wear and tear or abuse and do not include service calls or on-site labor. If you have any questions please contact us by email.
The Chair Place is not responsible for typographical errors. Prices are subject to change without notice.
Sales Tax
The Chair Place collects sales tax for California residents because we maintain a physical presence in that state. We do not collect sales or use taxes for other states. Payment of any such tax is the responsibility of the customer.
Orders are not cancellable once they are placed.
Shipping Policy
The Chair Place offers free UPS/Fedex shipping on all chairs shipped in the contiguous United States. The chairs will come in a box and some assembly is required. We do not ship outside of that area. Free shipping is curbside or to your loading dock. Customers are responsible for unloading from the delivery truck to their premises. We do not offer assembly or installation services.
Lead times vary by manufacturers, type of item, and color. Average production lead time is 15 working days. Shipping time will depend on your location. Manufacturer delays may extend lead times in some cases.
